After your CoolSculpting® treatment, you may experience some mild and temporary symptoms as your body goes to work to process the frozen fat. These symptoms include tenderness, redness, numbing, and bruising in the treatment area. For most patients, these symptoms are minimal and do not hinder normal activities, including exercise. Rare side effects may also occur. Paradoxical hyperplasia (visibly enlarged tissue volume in the treated area) may develop two to five months after treatment and requires surgical intervention for correction.
