What is the P-Shot?
The P Shot®, or Priapus Shot®, is a revolutionary treatment that has been performed on thousands of men worldwide to help improve their sexual health and enjoyment. It uses a patient’s platelet-rich plasma (PRP) derived from their own blood to encourage natural growth of the penis and enhance erections. The P Shot® is designed to deliver lasting results for men, including those who have issues achieving an erection due to prostate cancer, enlarged prostate, surgery/radiation side effects, and other conditions.
If you are searching for an effective solution for erectile dysfunction (ED), now there are several non-surgical, non-invasive, and non-pharmacologic options to consider.
As men age, many struggle with a decrease in penile sensation and size, as well as the frequency and stamina of their erections. While sexual dysfunction in men includes more than just erectile dysfunction (ED), ED is the most common occurrence in men.
With an abundance of pharmaceuticals with temporary solutions and unwanted side effects, many men long for a more natural and lasting solution to their ED and sexual dysfunction. Men deserve treatments that don’t require them to schedule their sex life around a pill or an injection.
Dr. Hernberg, Medical Director of Tomorrow’s Wellness Center and a Certified P-Shot Provider, is pleased to offer this game-changing service for men of all ages.

What is the P-Shot?
The P-Shot treatment involves injecting your own platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to help rejuvenate your penis and improve sexual performance and pleasure. The P-Shot is designed to deliver lasting results for men, including those who have issues achieving an erection due to prostate cancer, enlarged prostate, surgery side effects, and other conditions. With the P-Shot, men can achieve satisfactory erections without reliance on drugs or invasive surgeries. The effects of this treatment can last upwards to 12 months, and in some cases, it can be permanent.
Regenerative Medicine procedures, including stem cell therapy and PRP therapy, have been used successfully for years in many fields of medicine such as Orthopedic and Sports Medicine to help restore injured muscles and tendons. Platelet Rich Plasma is used extensively in Oral & Dental Surgery as well as Aesthetic Medicine including, Hair restoration, and Vampire Face procedures.
How is the P-Shot Treatment Performed?
The P-Shot is a simple, in-office procedure that takes approximately 45 minutes.
It starts with a simple blood draw from the arm, similar to a typical blood test. Next, using a centrifuge and a special separator process, Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is isolated.
While the centrifuge is spinning and generating your PRP, we perform a GainsWave treatment. The GainsWave treatment is an excellent complement to the P-Shot because the shock waves open blood vessels and prepare the tissue for the PRP infusion. We include a GainsWave treatment with every P-Shot.
A numbing cream is applied to the penis and surrounding area.
A very small needle is used to inject the PRP growth factors into the penis. Usually, there are 5 injections – 4 on the shaft and one in the head of the penis. In the case of Peyronie’s Disease, one of the injections is placed directly into the area of scar tissue.
Because these areas have been numbed with the anesthetic cream, there is only minimal discomfort. Pain is rarely reported and there is little or no downtime following the procedure. Some men have very slight bruising from the injections or may experience a little swelling.
What is Sexual Dysfunction?
Sexual dysfunction is a term that encompasses several issues that prevent individuals or couples from experiencing satisfying sexual activity. For men, these often include issues with erectile dysfunction, low libido, premature ejaculation, or conditions such as Peyronie’s disease that affects the size and shape of the penis. Symptoms of Sexual Dysfunction in men include:
- Erectile Dysfunction
- Absent or Delayed Ejaculation
- Early or Premature Ejaculation
- Low Libido
What is Erectile Dysfunction (ED)?
Finally a better and more natural approach to treating erectile dysfunction.
ED is defined as trouble getting or keeping an erection that’s firm enough for sex. Though it’s not rare for a man to have some problems with erections from time to time, ED that is progressive or happens routinely with sex is not normal, and it should be treated. Erectile dysfunction is a common disorder affecting up to 30 million men in the United States. Studies have shown the incidence of ED in men in their 40’s is around 40%, for men in their 50’s it is 50%, for men in their 60’s it is 60% and for men in their 70’s and higher, it is 70% or more. The prevalence of very severe ED increases from 5% at age 40 to 15% at age 70. Age was the variable most strongly associated with ED. Common causes of ED include:
- Testosterone Imbalance
- Stress or Depression
- Smoking, Alcohol or Substance Abuse
- High Blood Pressure
- Diabetes
- Atherosclerosis
- High Cholesterol
- Heart Disease
- Spinal Cord Injury

When will I notice results?

The results of the P-Shot can take effect immediately; however, it can take up to 6 months for the effects to reach full effect. Additional treatments may yield even better results. After the procedure, the use of a penis pump will increase the results.
Additional therapies that have been found to be helpful include a series of GainsWave Therapy using Low-Intensity Shock Wave Therapy. By combining this procedure with the GainsWave treatment individuals may notice a more rapid onset of improvement. Depending on the underlying cause(s) for the sexual health issues Bio-Identical Hormonal Therapy may also be helpful to achieve optimal results.
How long will the P-Shot last?
Results can last for up to a year before additional treatments are needed but some men experience added benefits from additional treatments. Individual responses vary and some men may be non-responders. The greater the degree of ED, the more challenging will be the treatment protocol. About 60% of men improve after the first P-Shot and approximately 85% are thrilled after their second P-Shot.
It typically takes about 12 weeks to see the full effect, and some men may require a series of two or three P-Shots®, spaced 8 to 12 weeks in between, to reach their desired potential. Some individuals may require multiple interventions to achieve satisfactory results. These interventions may include, GainsWave Therapy, a daily Nitric Oxide supplement (AFFIRM), regular use of a penile pump, and daily low-dose Phosphodiesterase 5 Inhibitor (Viagra, Cialis).
Can the P-Shot be combined with other therapies?
Yes, depending on the nature of your concerns there are several additional therapies that have been shown to help improve a man’s sexual health. GainsWave, a non-invasive painless therapy, utilizes Low-Intensity Shock Wave Therapy to improve the blood supply and rejuvenate penis tissue.
Emsella, a non-invasive treatment for urinary incontinence, can have a beneficial effect on men’s sexual health. Bio-Identical Hormonal Therapy, administered either topically or with pellets, is often helpful to revitalize genital tissue and improve libido.
What happens when I get an P-Shot?

When Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is injected into the penis, the platelets release chemical mediators including growth factors and bioactive proteins to stimulate rejuvenation. This process begins with the formation of new blood vessels carrying vital nutrients for cells and by attracting Stem Cells to repair penile tissue and nerves.
The P-Shot is used to improve the amount of blood flow to the penis, increase circulation to the penis, increase sensitivity, and achieve longer-lasting erections. The P-Shot is designed to deliver lasting results, including for those who have issues achieving an erection due to prostate cancer, enlarged prostate, surgery side effects, and other conditions.
Are there any restrictions after a P-Shot?
A great benefit to this procedure is the lack of downtime. Once the numbing medicine wears off in about an hour, there are no restrictions. The main side effect men experience is a small degree of sensitivity in the treated area, which resolves in a day or two.
Are there any Contra Indications to the P-Shot?

Since this treatment involves the use of your own blood and does not have anything to do with hormones, it is safe for all men including those with a history of prostate cancer.
Use of tobacco, systemic steroids, anti-inflammatory medications, blood thinners, any active infections, a history of cancer of the penis testicles, prostate, or rectum, as well as allergy to local anesthetics should be discussed prior to receiving the P-Shot treatment.
