Same Oxygen, Different Delivery
Why the distinction matters: HBOT is valuable for selected medical indications but differs in pressure, goals, risks, time and expense. EWOT is active oxygen-enriched exercise at normal atmospheric pressure.
Why TWC Uses the CAROL Bike With EWOT
The CAROL Bike is the exercise platform—not the identity of EWOT. Its stable seated cycling and precise resistance create a controlled, repeatable rise in heart rate, circulation and oxygen demand.
During an approximately 15-minute EWOT ride, CAROL raises workload while the EWOT system supplies oxygen-enriched gas. CAROL REHIT or other interval programs can be used separately when a higher-intensity stimulus is appropriate.
Powered by the TWC AIR Rx℠ Method
PNOĒ + CAROL Bike + EWOT work together within TWC AIR Rx℠: Assess Intelligently. Intervene Precisely. Refine Continuously.
Your physiology—not a generic formula—guides the plan.
ASSESS INTELLIGENTLY
PNOĒ measures VO₂ max, thresholds, oxygen utilization and individualized training zones. |
INTERVENE PRECISELY
CAROL provides measured exercise while EWOT enriches oxygen during increased circulation and demand. |
REFINE CONTINUOUSLY
Repeat PNOĒ and performance measures, track progress and adjust the exercise/oxygen plan as physiology changes. |
How TWC refines your plan: more watts at the same heart rate, lower perceived effort, faster recovery or a higher measured VO₂ max—practical data used to guide the next prescription. The TWC AIR Rx℠ Method: TWC measures first, applies a targeted exercise and oxygen-enriched intervention, then measures again. That closed-loop approach lets the program evolve as your fitness, oxygen utilization and goals change.
Safety & Individualization
EWOT and vigorous exercise are not appropriate for everyone. Screening should consider heart/lung disease, medications and exercise risk. Stop for chest pain/pressure, unusual shortness of breath, dizziness, faintness or concerning palpitations. Oxygen supports combustion: no smoking, vaping, flames, sparks or ignition sources near the system.
